How it works
We will use a platform to build a community and stay in touch. Each month, we will meet twice to discuss the same book through games, research, debates and other activities. Meetings will be recorded for anyone who cannot attend.
Each week, Celia, with Carla as an occasional contributor, will share content to help us discuss our impressions of the book, practise expressions and vocabulary, and learn Spanish through literature. You can also ask questions in the forum.
The idea is to enjoy reading, share opinions and improve our Spanish in a natural, cultural and enjoyable way.
Frequently asked questions
Is it for me?
Yes, if you want to read contemporary novels, enjoy analysing characters and sharing opinions, or have ever wondered when a book will be translated into your language.
What level do I need?
A high B1 level or above. If you are unsure, get in touch and we can arrange a meeting to assess your level.
What if I fall behind with the reading?
Go at your own pace. Each book has two meetings: if you miss the first, you can join the closing meeting and watch the recording of the other when you reach that part.
Is the book included?
No. Each person gets the book in their preferred format: print, ebook or audiobook.
How many meetings are there?
Two per book: one halfway through and another when you finish it. Both are recorded in case you cannot attend. As more readers join us, we will be able to hold more meetings.
When can I start?
To avoid disrupting the current reading, you have until the 15th of each month to sign up for the current book. If you sign up after that, you will need to wait until the start of the next month to begin the next book. If you are unsure, write to us and we will help you decide when to start.
